glorous beach near mylopotamo .. kalami is on the west side on the island , but its a bit hard to get down to the beach, the last leg is to hold on to a rope that goes down to the beach .. all in a days adventure but worth while for a a swim at kalami , or go by boat as i was lucky enough to do ...

if you don't have a few swims at diakofti in august its just not cricket , and after your swim couple of great little restaurants to complete your day at the beach ...the winter is half over so soon we will be going back to kythera to swim in those amazing waters ... !!

beautiful little village of limnona past kato chora reached by a long and winding road with rugged and superb views of the west coast of the island , limnona was once a fishing village that was used by the village people of mylopotamo where they would stay a few nights and go fishing for their families and to sell the catch to the people of mylopotamo and surrounding village's .. today its a delightful swimming venue with a great little tavern for food and refreshments ...

rough seas pound into the village of agia pelagia with the strong northerly winds that occur regularly in august .. but the lovely little church on the right [agia pelagia] keeps an eye on things ... also in the distance is main land Greece with the town of Napoli on the coast line
there is no better view on the island .... mid august, another glorious summers day is coming to a end and having dinner at belvedere pizza restaurant hora with great pizza and a great view ....!

a great day out is to visit one of the prettiest villages on the island ... from waterfalls , beaches , great restaurant's , old castle peaceful and relaxing area .. mylopotamo is a must to spend time there ..
