souvenirs left and right , a lovely evening out in the summer is to walk around the little quaint streets of chora , the architecture and feel of the southern end of the island is so different to the north, sometimes you feel you are on another island how both ends of the island differ...

one of the best and longest serving restaurants on the island owned by the pierros brothers , who are the best business people on the island , the food is superb, the service is first class, and manoli one of the owners is so friendly ... its always a great dining pleasure to go to pierros ...

new restaurant in the worlds biggest platia ! in the village of fratsia .. its a great place to book when the fratsia dance is on as you have the best seat in the house to view the dancing , plus the food is pretty good as well !
the dances in the villages in august are always packed with great atmosphere, plenty of dancing till the early hours of the morning, its enjoyable just to watch the ''mungas'' that are magnificent dancers ...

The Library has developed numerous works and theses in the last two years. Last month, however, we lived the experience of a student group working the second grade of our High School, under the supervision of professors George Lourantou (Pierrou), Mary Giamalakis and Eri (Freedom) Tzavara. The issue of labor was "History of education in Kythira and history of Kythira Gymnasium". What made an impression on us - is collaborative ethos, participatory leadership, mutual respect and fair sharing of toil, three Saturdays in morning school hours, with research sites and careful consultation of the Kytherian literature, interviews - testimonies, sources and scanning photographing monuments. As long as there are teachers who encourage children to investigate, to stand by and allow themselves to learn from them, nothing is lost ... John Stathatos
