agia pelagia from the karava side , still miss all the boats , ferries docking at agia pelagia , somehow diakofti hasnt got that buzz that agia pelagia had when the boats used to anchor there ....

the english built school near the village of levathi that served the surruonding villages in the 1800s that over look the villages of drymonas and fatsathika towards the south of the island ....

the castle of chora ,from the ocean side , with the village of chora , my goodness who on earth would try to scale those walls for a invasion of the castle.. no doubt that is the showpiece of the island .. chora and the castle

one of the best swimming bays on the island .. the small and picturesque village of avlemona is allways a summer favourite for locals and tourists to the island , by the way the dive wasnt so good , but a great attempt at such a tough dive ..

one of the best little secerets on the island .. the bakery at karavounathes , great for a stop on the way to chora , and sit on the main road and watch the world go by ! with agios georgis [ saint george ] looking on !

the crystal clear waters of elafonsi simmos beach makes for a great day off kythera , captain theodore fardoulys from agia pelagia will take 14 or so peopkle to elafonso on his speed boat leave you there for the day and take you back to kythera that afternoon

part of our famous mollo at agia pelagia in my opinion one of the islands treasures where all our relatives left to travel to countries far away ..
heading in towards agia pelagia and to dock our boat after circumnavigating the island.. and seeing the island in a differant perspective .. it was a great day

pleasant surprise at the potamo sunday markets in august the kytherian philharmonic band surprised shoppers with a impromptu concert in the main street of potamo watched by a large crowd ...needless to say it brought the markets to a stand still for a while .. but it was worth it !!

this delightful old fishing village near mylopotamos limnonas makes a great day at the beach with a kiosk for food and drinks , the drive down to limnona will give you magnificent views of some of the west coast of kythera ..
